     @JonahGoldberg@journa.host what's this supposed to mean? What you're referring to as "Mastodon" (actually the Fediverse) doesn't have a central moderation authority. If you see a bad actor instance, you should ask your instance admin ( @adamdavidson@journa.host ) to block said instance(s). There are no "Mastodon moderators", the Fediverse is decentralized. Your INSTANCE has their own moderator(s).

     @thatonecalculator @adamdavidson @JonahGoldberg oh wait is that the story? The instance was locked but opened up with an invite link that was then used by right extremists to swarm the server under false names? I can see why this would be an issue.. As admin I would probably lock out all new accounts since that announcement, lock the instance to invite only after and add a disclaimer to the main website explaining why it was locked in that fashion. Then wait for the storm to pass.
