Not having much luck visiting local lighthouses. The grounds at the first one are no longer open to the public. And this one at Pigeon Point — I knew they were doing renovations, but I didn't realize that meant the lighthouse is encased in scaffolding and much of the grounds are closed off.

Still, taking a drive down Highway 1 is always a delight. After 30+ years, I sometimes still can't quite believe I get to live here.
