   Liz Kendall? Jacqui Smith? For real?! I thought people were joking when they mentioned such names last week in the same sentence as Tony Blair. This UK Labour government is like a parody; a political satire sketch show or something. I didn't even know most of these people still existed in politics. It's like Sir Keir Starmer got himself a time machine and went back and picked up all the long gone Blairites - you know, the most painfully uninspiring, the most embarrassingly out of touch and passé politicians he could find to fill benches and fulfill the required roles as mere mouthpieces of the capitalist status quo.

     I mean, bloody hell, this lot aren't just lagging behind Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell -- they're lagging behind the likes of John Stuart Mill, Henry Ford, Karl Marx, and many others good and bad across the political spectrum of history who still all agreed by predicting that we wouldn't have to be working so much by now. Instead, you've got a Labour government - in 2024 - droning on about work, not least while talking about Disabled people. My partner was disabled by Long Covid in 2020, kept working, got worse, went part-time in 2022, got even worse, before finally having some hope of care by quitting work entirely in 2024. So don't fucking lecture me about the importance of "work" - go and tackle the grotesque inequalities and maybe redistribute wealth first, before speaking to me about who needs to contribute more, thanks.

     @MediaActivist I am so sorry, at least Starmer could have gotten some new terrible people! It's hard not to notice that the ultra rich won't let a real (even slight) challenge to corporate power and personal wealth win.
