Journalists are actually good for the Fediverse, retards.

Like them or not, the less journalists on Twitter and the more on here, is a measure of success.

I'm being serious, I'm just willing to say what I actually think even if my "side" doesn't like it. That's called being a free thinker.
Oh, everyone around me irrationally hates a thing? Maybe I should consider it...

I actually think the new influx of twitter refuges is good. The more diverse the userbase the more popularized decentralized alternatives get, with everything these days becoming a proprietary subscription service this is needed. Screaming at any normal up incoming users is retarded and dilutes the cause. I know everyone on here hates journalist and regular people but what's the worst they can do? But stormfags and degenerates can't be reasoned with logic over a long period of time.

@alex
My alts are whatever @ryo uses. I'm not a privacy expert and I'm still learning. Is it true that people are actually getting doxxed, no matter how little they are? I heard graf getting doxxed, but I don't know if that is true.

@Burn @RustyCrab @alex You can only be doxxed if you publish your personal information yourself, or otherwise use your personal information in private, and then that service provider gets hacked.
Which is why we all need to be as anonymous as possible, and in places we can't (like webshops for example), create a separate online identity.
That alone is very basic OPSEC which should keep you safe enough in many cases.
There's also a reason why I refuse to say in which city or even prefecture I live, because it's very rare for Japanese people to have high English proficiency, especially if you live outside of a major metropolitan area, or Narita.
So I'm not just a drip in a bucket, I am the bucket.

@Burn @alex @ryo yes graf got ultra giga doxed but it didn't seem to affect him that much. There were a few other users that did as well. A couple of them were semi-public figures known outside of poast so they likely were not doxed for that

Where did the journalist post it and who were they? I don't want to see the sensitive information just proof that it happened.

@Burn @alex @ryo I don't know the details of the original incident but it is remarkably easy to find with a search engine
