Nearly 30 years ago, Democrats chose a rhetorical running mate for their Republican opponent. That playbook could be the key to winning in 2024.

Jack Kemp was Bob Dole’s official running mate in 1996. But Newt Gingrich was more useful to Democrats, so we did everything we could to run against “Dole/Gingrich” instead of “Dole/Kemp”

The "Dole/Gingrich" campaign was extraordinarily effective for Democrats, and Bill Clinton was re-elected with 379 electoral votes after being counted out the year before.

Democrats have a similar opportunity this year. https://www.findinggravity.net/p/trumpthomas-2024
