     There are a few servers that are solely devoted to shitposting (like shitpost.host) and to ugly conspiracy theories.

     I'm inclined to block them on journa.host, but am not sure it's the right thing to do, since we are, actually, journalists who need to know what's going on.

     Any thoughts? advice?

     A while back it was an ugly conspiracy theory that Covid came from a lab.

     Imagine calling yourself "journalist" but then creating a safe space for yourself where you're not confronted with certain ideas.

     @adamdavidson have you considered educating your users on how to mute users or instances? Letting them customize the experience instead of dictating it for them all?

     @adamdavidson I can recommend you block social.076.ne.jp and video.076.ne.jp (or just wildcard block it), as well as block aaaa.moe, iiii.moe, uuuu.moe, eeee.moe, and oooo.moe in advance (they're not launched yet, but these are all maintained by the same people).
     These instances are all anarcho-free speech, littered with lolicon drawings, there are absolutely no rules against copyright (which is a scam), free speech (including hate speech and other insults), ismphobia, and so on, because it's each individual user's own responsibility to block or mute whoever they don't want to talk to.
     And all reports against any of these get dismissed immediately.
