   please don't mistake this for me thinking gabe newell is cool

   no we are all horrified he might retire because the only thing making pc gaming usable is the fact that steam isn't a publicly traded company and thus it doesn't have to cater to endless growth enshittification and can blow it's stupid amounts of money on projects like the steam deck

   and as soon as it goes public we're all fucked lol
