   Since this is making numbers, lemme clarify: I'm making a joke, but if you're in here sneering at the people who bought these shoes, I've got no time for that.

   Sneering at people whose devices fail like this is really corrosive, and putting the fault on the person when the failure here belongs to a corporation is toxic as hell. It's bad for all of us.

   People have a reasonable right to expect that things they bought should keep working after the company that sold it just... loses interest.
