     @mloxton there's nuance in everything. I'd guess that authors might be paid more per work sold than other creators but generally don't like pirating books and music for this reason. There's not many independent TV shows or movies I'd say, though I may be wrong. There's TONS of people involved and most of the money goes to soulless corporations

     I personally don't care, but wouldn't you just be stealing from my children and grandchildren?

     Like if this was a fishing rod or any other kind of possession, would you be saying, hey the guy is dead, so we can just take your grandad's stuff?
