     Its a relief that a Left-Green alliance called the New Popular Front is set to win the most seats in the #FrenchElection according to the exit poll tonight.

     British news outlets are describing this as a surprise given the heavy mood music that was preparing for a win for Marine LePen’s Far Right National Rally.

     Why were opinion polls so wrong?

     Does having two rounds of elections give electorate a moment to pause and rethink?

     Was there an event in France this week that shifted polls?
