   have an old friend staying over for a while, they flew in yesterday and we were sat having a long catchup over the eve.

   Around 11pm they made a morose remark about the Tories and i realised they didnt know it was election night.

   After so many glum conversations over the kitchen table with friends these past 10+ years, it was a magical moment to seize the laptop and say "Well, lets see who the new government is!"

     i am going to enjoy today, i am breathing lighter.

     The Tories didnt have to call the election when they did, they had another 6 months to run with, and the things the likes of Badenoch had laid out for trans rights in that time were terrifying.

     @siege I'm really happy two parties that had explicit policies for self-ID did so well as well.
