Let me make a prediction, it wont perform as expected since most devices are not high end and use lower standards, however since the hall is made for lan parties one doesnt need wifi that much.
I still would prefer 10 older AP's than 5 highend ones- Puniko ? likes this.

:blobcathug: (jain@blob.cat)'s status on Friday, 05-Jul-2024 21:45:16 JST :blobcathug: @hexaheximal they do, as far as i know this should be an event hall for lan parties so ethernet will be there... but even if they have ethernet, to all my knowledge and experience, having just 4-5 AP's to provide wifi to potentially thousend people is not enough -

hexaheximal (hexaheximal@blob.cat)'s status on Friday, 05-Jul-2024 21:45:18 JST hexaheximal @Jain unfortunately, they do not have the braincells required to even consider the crazy concept of... just using ethernet... -

Snep :floofBlep: (snep@y.diskcat.com)'s status on Saturday, 06-Jul-2024 04:37:55 JST Snep :floofBlep: @Jain Hahaha, I can say with certainty that thatis nowhere near enough. We had 8 Unifi AP-U7 Pros in two big tents set up even with manual channel selections and best possible spacing for the least overlaps and even with those and at best ~75 concurrent guests, you absolutely noticed slow downs, drop outs and latency spikes. The air is simply a limited medium! Oh, and almost no device was connected to WiFi 7 over a three day period, a handful maybe, mostly modern iPhones...
