   The thought of having to resist a fascist state is daunting. It's too big to understand. The state is so big, and you're just one person.

   Make the problem smaller and the solution bigger.

   A community can defend a community.

     In the last US civil war, West Virginia seceded from Virginia in a mass refusal of complicity and enlisted their fighting power to defeat the slave states.

     Other communities south of the Mason-Dixon raised hell behind enemy lines, driving domestic production and logistics into chaos, in places like the Ozark hills.

     And most importantly, Black slaves undertook the greatest labour action your country has ever seen, sapping the foundations of the entire evil enterprise.

     Every community that resists the fascist takeover is one less community worth of resources to be levied against every other community.

     An attack on one is an attack on all, and so too the defence of one is the defence of all.

     You don't need an authority to save you because you have something much stronger.
