     Don't do colonialism, kids. Just say no. You might think it's all cool and under liberal democratic control but you're fostering the men of violence and they will come for you and your institutions.

     There's a lot of analysis today that places the french far-right in the context of the Second World War. I'd say the Algerian independence war is at least as crucial.

     Le Pen as descendent of the colonials who killed a million Algerians and tried to stage a coup before being kicked out.
