what if we designed every UI around actually touching the screen 💻 :soy2: sounds awesome right

@kirby no because I never used it
aside from this brief exposure I hope I can say the same about windows 11 in 5 years

@kirby windows 11 seems worse, they moved the menu button into the middle of the task bar ?????? and put some other gay shit on the left side ?????? plus there's dead space around it instead of the button being clickable all the way to the edge of the screen

@kirby @deprecated_ii I used windows 8 for almost a decade and only recently upgraded my desktop to 11. Never found it that bad as someone who only used the start menu for quick searching. Otherwise it was basically windows 7 but with flatter colors and sharper edges.

@suquili @deprecated_ii having used 8.1 for some time the start menu had a learning curve I did not want to go through because the interface was intended for tablets. Classic shell'd.

@kirby @deprecated_ii I never minded it, well I guess I did because I hardly touched it. I had a very strict method of using it. I'd press the winkey, type in whatever program I wanted to use, and hit enter hoping the one I wanted would open. In rare cases it'd take me to the search screen and be a pain in the ass to close.

@suquili @deprecated_ii though obviously sort of up to opinion. I'm tired.
