It is an absolute necessity for neoliberalism to fall. It is a zombie ideology that used to be defended by economists and now is not, yet it still exists with no one believing in it and its backers being the ultra-wealthy and no one else. The conditions that it creates and its obvious vacancy feed fascism all over the world.

The last remaining elected neoliberals, all over the Western industrialized countries, are doing what liberals always do in this case -- throwing the state to fascism.
