I'm curious about what will happen to other gargantuan sites like facebook, instagram and linkedin for instance.
Instagram is pretty much replaceable with software using activitypub so we will not get rid of peoples pictures anytime soon.
LinkedIn has for the last 5-10 years been bashed in "professionals" heads as a must have to be seen and attract employers, but I guess that pond is shrinking too.
Peertube taking over, or at least living side by side with YouTube is natural since more people want ad free video pleasure.
The question is though, what will replace facebook? Where are people going to post relationship updates?
The future of social media is thrilling..
