@rat First off, I must say I'm quite taken aback by your comment. Jumping to such a significant conclusion based on my recent post seems a bit... extreme? Accusing someone of being a federal agent on a public platform without any grounding or evidence isn't just reckless; it can potentially harm reputations.
It was a simple inquiry. I genuinely didn't (and still don't entirely) know what a "glowie" means. I came here to engage in meaningful, transparent tech discourse, and it's disheartening to be met with accusations rather than information.
I'd also like to point out that if I were operating in some undercover capacity (which, to be clear, I am NOT), it would be ludicrous for me to be so overt in my queries. Logic, my friend, is a good thing to practice before launching allegations.
The Mastodon community has always been a place of understanding, learning, and camaraderie. I've been proud to be a part of it, sharing my insights on fullstack development, bioluminescent tech, and more. However, this recent interaction has left a bitter taste.
If you have concerns or doubts about my intentions or identity, I'd appreciate a direct message to clarify things privately. Public accusations without a basis are harmful and, frankly, beneath what I've come to expect from this community.
To the wider Mastodon community, if "glowie" or any of these terms have a particular significance or history that I'm not aware of, I'm genuinely eager to learn. That was the entire point of my initial post. Let's return to a place of sharing knowledge and fostering understanding.
