Don’t think I’ve ever heard of an entire shopping centre of this size going under… some stores seem busy, but then, a few have certainly come and gone since the place opened.
Years ago, I read somewhere that Ottawa’s actually short on retail space compared to our population.
Maybe too much has changed since the start of the pandemic? More online shopping?

  One of Ottawa's largest shopping centres has been placed in receivership over an outstanding $39 million loan by the owner of the property. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed Grant Thornton Limited as receiver and manager of the assets of Ottawa Train Yards on Industrial Avenue.
