     They had already invented a car back in the 50s that had its own nuclear reactor on board 😏 they should have mass produced them and could still be driving them to this day on the same charge probably

     @Diogenese_Shiplap @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @KiKi88 I'm not a big hater of EVs as a concept. If you've ever tried one of the many electric motor-assisted bicycles, you see the value. If it fits your lifestyle and/or location, you can bike to work and not arrive all sweaty and gross.
     
     Electric cars can be good too. If they're small and light, and the demand put on them is relatively small. Think Fiat 500, not a Yukon. Hopping into an 8,000 lb vehicle to go pick up a pizza is insanity.
     
     But that's the terrain right now in the US. We don't live near anything, we seek out places to live *away* from things. Which means every 5-15 years picking up and moving down the highway to the next exit where there aren't negroes. (Yet.) We associate public transportation with rubbing shoulders with troublesome negroes because we've allowed them to take over the public transportation systems. Which don't run out to the suburbs anyway because we already bought the Yukon to do the milk run.

     @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @KiKi88 Lithium batteries are maybe in their second generation, while internal combustion is in it's fifth generation. Internal combustion is the way forward and the grandkids will laugh at the quaintness of their ancestors thinking driving a gigantic exploding poisonous bomb as being almost as stupid as democracy. You heard it here first!
