It seems like the American system of government has to fundamentally change because a malicious minority of frothing nutjobs should not be legally able to literally take over and destroy that very system while the majority can do nothing because of the electoral college. The nutjobs are going to win, eventually, sooner or later, under this system, and succeed in killing it by using its own fatal flaw.
