   #Tax matters are confusing. #EaseOfPayingTax recently required folks like me to switch from using Official Receipts to using Invoices. After I ordered my new invoices I was told it had to have Quantity and Amount. On a Service Invoice? My invoices don't have those words so I returned to the #BIR.

   Thanks to the nice staff at the RDO, visiting their office isn't so bad. They said my invoices are fine and to disregard that new rule. 😅! #Philippines

     @evelyn A lot of good stuff coming out the BIR recently.

     First I liked was no longer requiring to pay an annual fee. It's so painful for those of us who have a business name but not rarely gets anything from it, like myself. I only keep the business name/registration just in case someone want my services… that way I can issue an official receipt. (Besides, it's illegal to offer services without a business registration.)

     And now, this. Since I rarely use the receipts… and I paid for those because it's required to have one even if most of your transactions are online… (I was told to still write it down) well… hahahaha.

     Hey hey hey! 😃 The BIR lady was right when she said the December '24 deadline/expiry for converted official receipts may change.

     Now there's no more deadline/expiration and I can use my receipts-converted-to-invoices till they run out. 👍

     They haven't taken back the requirement to add Quantity* on the invoice tho.

     I'll be having lots of use for my "Service Invoice" rubber stamps. 🤪

     @evelyn Oh, yeah! That one! I'm still confused about it, IIRC, there are two types, and the way they explain it doesn't help. LOL.

     I'm supposed to be qualified for the other type, but the way they explained it, it sounds to me I should use the other.

     And we need to understand these things to ensure we're doing the right thing. Mamaya bigla na lang may sulat, hindi daw nagbabayad ng tamang buwis. O_O

     Ah yes. That annual fee. So glad that's gone. 👍

     Same here. My client never cares for receipts. I write them out anyway. It's the law, after all. 🤪

     Next thing that I hope they fix is the confusing need to specify every year that I'm opting for the 8%. So silly. 🤷♀️
