     @judgedread @bloggerski He did the Connecticut bnb Newhart for a long time. I remember him from something else after that.
     
     The problem there was he was too effeminate to move on. Hanks could pull off superofficer in the matt damon savethejews film, the other guy could never pull off that role.
     
     In hindsight, it was probably more important that a plausibly masculine-capable actor played a tranny. The other guy was just sauce.
     
     To Wong Foo Love Julie Newmar was the one that blew me away. That movie was gay gay gay, yet offered up as Totally Normal.
