   catholic friend keeps pestering me to come to mass with him as a "fellow christian" every time we travel together.
   
   came with him one time and he was like "so when they distribute bread and wine, you are not supposed to take any because you are not catholic" :ARU:

     when Catholics take the Eucharist they believe they are LITERALLY eating the flesh and drinking the blood of the crucified Jesus and you probably shouldn't.

     @kaia @rin i think it's just because rin hasn't had his first communion, not being a catholic. kids don't get the bread and wine either.

     you have to be in a sinless state as well, having confessed on the same day - in the best case right before the Eucharist
