  @mainichi @tokyo_0 And here’s why collecting those nodules would be a very bad idea: https://time.com/6094560/deep-sea-mining-environmental-costs-benefits/
  TL;DR it would mean strip-mining and absolutely destroying an entire ecosystem, with additional unknown impacts on all ocean life, including some we currently exploit as food sources
