Microsoft, why are you so afraid to name your own fucking product in this dropdown menu? (from minecraft.net)

@sodiboo@gaysex.cloud I think this is an attempt for Microsoft so cement Windows as the default and status quo for any "PC". Making the other operating systems look out of place, weird, abnormal compared to theirs.

@sodiboo You're right that they're too afraid to give "Windows Computer" or WC as an option.
minecraft does not care what kernel you use - it cares about the OS you use.
For the Java version, I guess on systemd/Linux, that would usually rely on openjdk, which relies on GNU dependencies.
For the sepples version, I guess that probably relies on GNU libc (glibc), but I haven't checked myself (I just need the output of GNU `readelf --symbols <elf>` to know).
microsoft is so afraid of people learning about the existence of GNU that they've taken to push referring to GNU as "Linux" hard and they're even too afraid to ever name the GNU aside from in places they know that nobody who hasn't already heard of GNU will ever read (for example the windows copyright license section, which lists exceptions to their proprietary restrictions against reverse engineering (that certainly isn't an attempt to ensure that proving that their malware is malware is illegal) to avoid infringing on the terms of libraries under versions of the Lesser GPL).
You really should play minetest+MineClone2 instead, as that is under a license that respects freedom and community.
