     Common patterns at work here:

     - New technologies pose new problems.

     - Sometimes those problems are solvable; sometimes they are intrinsic to the technology.

     - Determining which problems are solvable and which are intrinsic is difficult even for people with relevant expertise, nearly impossible for those without.

     - This engineering question thus easily becomes a matter of marketing and/or politics.

     Left as a thought* exercise for the reader: compare and contrast (1) making solar panels less susceptible to hail damage vs (2) making LLMs less susceptible to factual inaccuracy.
