     @sun i'm really annoyed that matrix went down the feature creep path and pushed it so hard as the irc replacement it clearly isn't. it's pretty nice for messenger use, has working crypto (never had real issues with the keys not present issue) and finally file uploads work.

     systemd is just about reinventing and breaking things because that's all lennart can do. there already was upstart and others which worked fine. same with pulseaudio. esd worked fine. gnome is systemd gui now.

     That's the point of MATE classic, all the test I did showed that people have more intuitive usage of MATE classic than kde.

     @mangeurdenuage @sun I remember installing MATE and it was nice in the beginning but it quickly became frustrating so i just rolled KDE instead. Many such cases :sadge: :mycomputer:

     @mangeurdenuage @hj @sun my mother has XFCE on her laptop. The only thing she knows to do on a computer is hit start, go to internet section and select google chrome. And it it works well with XFCE
