A “surge” of immigrants has boosted the economy recently -projected to add almost $9T to it thru 2034.

CBO update: current level of immigration of “other foreign nationals” would continue to add to the overall size of the US population, providing more workers -boosting the economy. Net immigration rate of “other foreign nationals" incl. undocumented migrants, had risen from ~200K/yr to 1.9M in 2022 -now projected to hit ~2.4M this yr-.
