I don't agree with what he says next, that they have to manufacture new problems to solve (I understand he says it disparagingly). Instead they could work on making cargo bikes cheaper, that is extremely needed, and could give the company that solves that huge sales! Work on making them more repairable, easier to use for transporting children and groceries, or better for businesses to switch out their cars. Lots still to do!

Here is a #bike YouTuber noticing the shift in value delivery from customers to shareholders & calling it enshittification. Might not be an exact match for the platform/intermediary model of Cory's that specifically calls out middlemen who deliver almost no inherent value, but still it is a significant spread of the concepts.
