   @feditips if I follow someone from another instance, does the feed of that instance appear on my federated feed? Or should I change instance in order to better access it.

     No, if you follow someone you just see their posts.

     If you want to browse the "Local" feed of another instance, go to their website and click on "Local" or "What's happening".

     @diraquel As far as I know, from the moment you follow someone from another instance, their local timeline should be federated to your instance and show up on the federated feed. So no need to move.

     @feditips @diraquel If someone I follow boosts it ... it appears in my timeline. And on my local timeline. Correct?
