   This is actually cool. Irradiated salt turns orange due to trapped electrons, and heating it releases them, emitting orange light before the salt goes back to plain white.

     There's no recommendation or reason to pronounce "de Broglie" /de bro-glee-ay/, in US English it's /de bro-glee/ or /de broy/, the latter the closest to the French.
