     Problem: allowing a non-root Linux user/group to access a specific USB device

     Solution: udev rules

     Problem: udev rules only apply retroactively even when using udevadm

     Solution: remove and reinsert the USB device!

     Problem: it's in a remote server

     Solution: reboot the host each time you attempt a nearly otherwise undebuggable udev rules change
