Like, if you want to stick with Apple or Microsoft, be my guest. I do believe that the best tool is the one you *want* to use.
But for all of the flaws with Linux desktops, I can say comfortably that I never feel like I'm ceding my conscience while using it. And if that's you today, don't hesitate to reach out.
