     When I lived in Canada someone explained to me how Canada decides when its time for an election and essentially what I got was "They only call for elections when they're popular and think they'll win". Then they went in to specifics and I just drank maple syrup until the voices stopped

     @not_benis @BigTLarrity I don't get European politics. Does Macron HAVE to disband Parliament because of losing this other election or is he doing it to preserve the legitimacy of the government? What's stopping him from just running his majority government forever and telling the voters to pound sand?
