     @ChampersBE @Gargron That was the reason why I referred to clone the repository. You have to `git checkout main`.

     @carlospaiva @Gargron That part "works" (with a few minor tweaks) to set up a server from scratch. It refers to upgrade instructions on Github for specific release upgrades and it's those instructions that I can't find (to upgrade to v4.0.0rc1).

     @ChampersBE @Gargron Are you following this https://docs.joinmastodon.org/admin/install/ ? I have not done it myself yet as I don't have a server available right now, so I am just kind of guessing.

     Even upgrading Ruby (to 3.0.4) is working. It's from there on that things start to get iffy.

     @Gargron @carlospaiva How can I upgrade from v3.5.3 to v4.0.0rc1 ? Seems I can 't find the upgrade instructions ?
