The #magnolias bloom toward the end of May here in Louisville. The blossoms seem to glow of their own light among the deep green of the leaves, creating their own dwelling space, a #temenos (τέμενος), a numinous precinct, a field of deity, dedicated to the gods of #summer shade. The magnolia temples begin almost immediately to decay almost as they bloom. In that decay consists their eternity in an ungrieving eye.
The poem is a #fib, a verse form founded on the #Fibonacci sequence, a six line, 20 syllable poem, with a syllable count by line of 1/1/2/3/5/8.
