Arch Linux breaks if you make one move, why are people still using it depise of that lmao? You need to the master of tech in order to even use arch linux, it's confusing, the setup is complicated, every is not ready and you have to install everything manually, even a web browser like WHAT

@Jojothegoodperson I've installed arch a few dozen times already, it's very simple the installation scripts basically hand hold you throughout the entire process. At least for me I can set it up in like 30 minutes, I'm kind of the local "tech expert"

I just don't really like arch anymore due to some of the maintainers making rather rash decisions that break a ton of applications [deprecating a dependency of source games was the straw that broke the camels back]

@kirby @Jojothegoodperson arch is really good for C/++ programming ngl, all the libraries are prepackaged into cute packages instead of me having to hunt down on github then run make install a billion times

@Jojothegoodperson I don't think there is any, many different scenarios which determine which is the best for everybody

assuming you mean general purpose use for people who have little to moderate tech experience, probably linux mint like u suggested earlier, or ubuntu

ubuntu has a very easy to learn ui, so i'd probably recommend that to a total noob, and mint for the windows people lol

Yeah, and Ubuntu looks pretty but promise me, it's a trap. It has a community but yet they barely listen to it, while linux mint is actually improving on the gaming aspect and it uses way less ram than Windows or probably Ubuntu.

@kirby @Jojothegoodperson I never found Ubuntu all that hard to learn. I think the version I started in used a docker or had the menu at the top or something. Once I figured out how to get rid of that I didn't have many problems at all.

Well, except the dreaded COMMAND LINE
