A non-exhaustive list of deliberately malevolent UI/UX decisions which drive me absolutely batty and yet we all have to live with every day because of the invisible hand of the attention economy

- Re-ordering an interface based on what a mysterious algorithm I cannot see thinks I want to use/see so that if you rely on muscle memory, or if there's any device lag whatsoever, you press the wrong button (get fucked, Spotify)

- Re-loading all of my content as soon as I change focus or re-open the app, even if only mere seconds have passed (Instagram, Reddit, basically everyone) and making it impossible to find something again

- Removing an option to say "never ask me this again" and instead having "Not now" (would you like to set Edge as your default browser? would you? hm?)

- "See less often" or "Show me less of this" rather than "I don't want to see this"

- Promoting a new feature with a popup that can only be "dismissed" by saying "Show me more" or "Take me there" etc
