What’s your perception of a gig worker? Most are relatively young, but @restofworld spoke to 50 who are aged between 50 and 75 as part of its Graying Gig Workers series. Maureen Zephora Khumalo from Johannesburg, South Africa, told Rest of World that friends laugh at her for doing a young people’s job, but “with harsh economic conditions and my children out of jobs, I [may] even work until my eighties because no one can give me money for free.”
