   The Battle of Catalaunian Plains 451 AD. Rome's last great battle, fought alongside their allied Visigoths. Together Latins and Germanics ended Hunnic expansion into Europe.
   
   The King Theodoric of the Visigoths gave his life reinforcing the center of the line when it began to break. At the same time his son Thorismund led a charge against the Huns flank, narrowly winning them the battle.
