Sick Sun (sun@shitposter.world)'s status on Friday, 31-May-2024 05:04:39 JST Sick Sun @alex I want to make a userscript like "Dissenter" that uses Nostr as its substrate. I checked the NIPs to see if there was any event type that was suitable for this but didn't find a perfect match. Would it be acceptable to create a new Event type for "comment on URI" that is just an additional field on short text events, or just like ram the URI into a tag field and use as-is? -

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 31-May-2024 07:01:56 JST Alex Gleason @sun Someone actually built that already. But I can't remember the name. Maybe @Sprate remembers.
It just used kind 1 events, actually, with an "r" tag of the URL.
There is actually another extension that predates it, though. @3bf0c63fcb93463407af97a5e5ee64fa883d107ef9e558472c4eb9aaaefa459d did it: https://github.com/fiatjaf/wen And he invented a new kind 34 event for this one.Sick Sun likes this. -

Sprate (sprate@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Monday, 03-Jun-2024 00:24:11 JST Sprate It was called Satcom: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/satcom-collaborative-laye/lhoejonhkpkgnhaamjcplefkkomlldgi
It seemed to be in on-again-off-again development, but looks promising. In conversation permalink Attachments
