   @casilli I was unable to complete my studies, and although I don't think it particularly affected my ability to acquire expertise, I do regret not having the heft of a degree to add to my credentials, so there's that. Additionally, some people will look down on you for not having one.

     My advice to young folks: don’t believe people (usually techbros) claiming you don't need to attend a university for four years to learn anything valuable. They either did go to a university, thus they are hypocrites, or didn’t, thus they don’t know what they are talking about.
