@WarnerCrocker true. But let's say he did.

What does that say about the last three years of his decisions, especially the 5-4 ones and the ones he wrote?

Would the Court reverse Dobbs? Of course not. But if I were a lawyer I'd be getting my challenge to Dobbs ready for the day he stepped down.

@philip_cardella True. You can’t turn back time. But you can prevent screwing up the future.

@philip_cardella Since impeachment is a political solution I’m not sure it would ever work (witness the last three attempts.) I’d rather put it to the voters with recall elections, albeit also political, but at least there’d be a better chance in my opinion.

@WarnerCrocker I'm a wild person who thinks we should normalize impeachment. Clinton should have been impeached and should have been removed.

It's not like a criminal thing. It's just getting fired. Especially for life long appointments that can't face elections we must normalize firing bad actors.

@WarnerCrocker I hear you. The Senate would threshold for conviction would need to be changed, which would require an amendment, I think. Long shot that.

Of course, so would voting to recall SCOTUS Members.

Expanding the Court is easier but doesn't get rid of bad actors. I'd love to see them rotate down to lower courts routinely. 🤷♂️

@philip_cardella I’d be for term limits and rotation down.
