TIL: CAT 7 isn't an official cable category but rather a shortcut if you don't want to bother memorizing the differences between 6 and 6a and always want to go for the better option - in terms of insulation and speed / frequency.

Also for not being an official category it seems quasi official judging by how many stores and network related business operate just fine with the CAT7 terminology. Opinions? :)
