Great capture! Molting juvie?
It was 93°F at 6:45 yesterday morning when I went to check on the garden. It was so hot that even this golden-green grasshopper felt the need for a short, upside-down siesta between snacking on my Cosmos.

The flower is facing the right of the frame and the grasshopper is vertical with it's head facing down. The Cosmos petals show signs of recent feeding with some petals cut down close to the flower's center. The background consists of out of focus greens and browns.
