   It's wrong though. The diodes in this circuit aren't there for protection (they are 1N4148 signal diodes), and they probably haven't blown because they're serving a different purpose (they're on the input socket)

   Maybe before attempting anything,it would be good to contact Andrew at NLC with these pics and ask his advice. He's also got a manufacturer forum at mod wig.
