   What I wanted from AI: hundreds of robot servants to automate away all my stupid, repetitive tasks, leaving me free to pursue the life of the mind.

   What I expected from AI: self-driving cars maybe, at some point.

   What I got from AI: a wrong-answer machine which steals money from me and is powered by burning the rainforest.

     The problem is, if we live in a capitalist-extractive society--and we do--there will NEVER be an opportunity for humans to do "whatever we want" because there isn't a profit for the rich in you doing "whatever you want."

     The point of extracting your labor is to extract everything from everyone up to and including people dying.

     *The structure will not allow the use of robotics to create human freedom because it doesn't allow for freedom by any means.*

     I'm not sure I want robots to do *everything*, but certainly to do everything necessary for our survival to allow everyone to do whatever they want.

     I wanted a future of robots doing everything, and humans just existing. Everyone gets one robot servant, the industry has tons of them. Humans just do hobby work.
