@bmacDonald94 I think of these as sixties flowers, sixties colors. They make me happy. They remind me of high school, when I still knew everything and was always right. We wore flowers in our hair, somebody always had a guitar, and we sang Bob Dylan songs and California Dreamin' by the lake, and though our older brothers were being drafted and dying in a war that was somehow incomprehensible, the streets were full of folks demanding change and the world was full of promise.

Mike (subumbral@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Saturday, 25-May-2024 09:37:57 JST Mike @Originallyrose @bmacDonald94 My aunt took me on a long walk when I was a kid and we walked by a big park (somewhere in LA in the 60's) and there was music and a woman walked by with flowers painted on her face, I asked my aunt what was going on, she said it was a love-in. Still a vivid memory.
