     high five! Mine is 2015 Pro with a broken screen (it does not close) and a 7cm thick vertical line running across the display that makes all colors slightly brighter

     @sand to be fair, it's holding up pretty well, I'm impressed. Can't really run Blender or After Effects, but Affinity software works just fine, considering that I constantly have 9 Chrome windows open with dozens of tabs each :blobcatgoogly:

     @karafuto I run Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - but can only choose 2 at the same time. Chrome works but only after a fresh reboot. Anything on crazygames.com has my fans roaring like a jet engine. I feel your pain 🤓

     @karafuto Yes, have to use Adobe. Office pays for the annual subscription despite not being able to upgrade since 2019 due to my old Os (Sierra, 10.12).

     I've submitted a request for a hardware upgrade, but like my request for a pay raise, "we don't have the budget" 🙃 - Sorry, venting LOL

     Do you have to use Adobe? Have you tried Affinity? It's less demanding on your hardware

     @karafuto LOL wow that was a pretty accurate assessment of my current working conditions. You must be experienced.

     I'm the entire design dept. My value doesn't come from design strategies or creative solutions. Rather from my ability to work quickly and deliver final products with little to no direction.

     This isn't me bragging. More like a cry for help LOL

     @sand yeah, sorry to hear that. I'm gonna bet the company quite obviously needs another in-house designer due to all the workload, but is unable to recognise the value designers bring and actually considers downsizing the design department.

     Were you not able to update even to Catalina from 2019?

     what industry is the company you work at in, if I may ask?
     The last full-time job I had was at an advertisenment agency, where out of 30 people 18 were managers (seriously, I counted), and just two designers -- me and another guy. I got laid off after a few years, because obviously having two designers is just excessive, especially for a creative agency

     @karafuto I’m sorry to hear you were laid off. It’s the worst feeling. I’ve been laid off twice and I didn’t see it coming. I feel like Marketing/Design is always the first to get cut because management level doesn’t see the value. I was told I’m a ‘nice to have but not a need’ 🙃.

     I sometimes regret getting into design. It can be so rewarding but also so heartbreaking all at the same time - not sure how you feel about it.
